EVAPORATING OCEANS
The sculptural pieces serve as a powerful symbol of the effects of climate change on our planet. Inspired by the urgent need to protect our oceans and its marine life, they take the form of larger intricately carved ice structures slowly melting before our eyes. As we observe the pieces we are reminded of the rapidly melting glaciers, the plight of marine life struggling to survive, and the alarming rise in sea levels. Through its detailed craftsmanship and thought-provoking design, the sculptures convey a message of environmental conservation and the pressing need to address the impact of climate change on our world.
Interactive elements incorporated into the sculptures engage viewers and prompt reflection on the critical importance of saving our oceans. By incorporating 24K gilded and natural sea debris, such as blue mussels from Maine, this presentation of art aims to evoke emotions and inspire action towards protecting our planet's delicate ecosystem for future generations. The materials carefully selected for the pieces are Biodegradable Resin, 24k Gold leaves, Vermeil recycled chains and an array of freshwater, saltwater and south sea pearls.
