nothing is perfect, Everything is

“Noting is perfect, everything is”- Oolite, a porous stone formed in shallow seas, anchors the work with the memory of countless grains compacted over time. Rising from it, resin obelisks capture and bend light, evoking monuments yet exposing their synthetic fragility. Across this surface, gilding and scattered brass nuggets shimmer, dignifying fracture instead of concealing it. Embedded in the obelisks are fragments of discarded objects, plastic, metal, remnants of daily use and ocean detritus, placed with precision so that what seems imperfect is integral to the whole. The work stages a dialogue of materials: ancient geology beside modern synthetics, luxury metals beside domestic refuse, permanence beside the fragile. Each element speaks a different temporal language, collapsing deep time and contemporary urgency into one composition. In its contradictions, solid and brittle, sacred and disposable, the piece embodies its title. Nothing here strives for flawlessness; instead, meaning arises through attention.
